இந்தியன் எனக்கும் அந்த பாடல் ரொம்ப பிடித்தது.. உண்மையில் கூறினால் பாடலை கேட்ட போது அவ்வளவாக பிடிக்கவில்லை ஆனால் படத்தில் பார்க்கும் போது நன்றாக இருந்தது.

ஹா ஹா ஹா நன்றாகவே இருந்தது. மோசம் என்றெல்லாம் எந்நாளும் கூற முடியாது.. அப்புறம் எனக்கு அவருடைய அனைத்து படங்களும் ரொம்ப பிடிக்கும் பச்சை கிளி முத்துச்சரம் தவிர. குறிப்பாக பாடல் காட்சிகளை எடுக்கும் விதம் ரொம்ப சிறப்பு.

நம்பினால் நம்புங்க! இதை நானும் நினைத்தேன். சரி நிறைய நெகடிவ் விஷயத்தை கூற வேண்டாம் என்று அதை தவிர்த்து விட்டேன்

* Regarding the gap in not showing Karthik's profession, if you remember, initially KS Ravikumar would say that he'll start the movie after 2/3 months and consider him then. I guess, it implicitly means Karthik is sure of his opportunity with KSV, spent the next 2/3 months ogling behind Jessie. After that (or post interval), you can observe there will be more scenes in movie filming backdrop.

* Most of the duet songs were shot in Malta, only the last segment were shot in US.

* After a long time, I enjoyed the orchestration of "Kannukkul Kannai " song in Rahman's music. Taste differs.

* I see Jessie's character as a girl who fell in love and have strong feelings for her lover. At the same time she is sensitive to her family's wish and impact of her love on her family and community. It is the oscillation between these two extremes force to keep changing her decisions. However, her feelings are getting stronger as the time pass. I think this captured well through the narration. Jessie's characterization also shows she is not strong willed as can be seen by her last decision to ditch Karthik.
If you observe, Karthik's characterization is that he is strong willed, never doubted about his love and willing to go any extreme.

* Why the name Karthik (urban middle class engineering graduate)? Jessie, a programmer analyst liking a Murugesan or Paalpandi from remote districts(even as a fellow in same profession which is not quite rare these days) is a distant reality.

* The movie do have typical GV Menon's mokkai's but far less this time.

வருண் இந்த கவுதமை புரிந்து கொள்ளவே முடியலை..

தன்னிடமும் தவறை வைத்துக்கொண்டு எப்படி இவரால் அடுத்தவரை குறை கூற முடிகிறது என்று தெரியவில்லை. ஒருமுறை சிவாஜி படத்தில் கதை இல்லை என்று கூறி இதை நம்பி எப்படி ஷங்கர் படம் எடுத்தார் என்று கூறி இருந்தார். சாதிப்பவர்கள் அதிகம் பேசுவதில்லை. அவருக்கு தன்னோட திரைக்கதை மேல் நம்பிக்கை அதே போல வெற்றியும் பெற்றார். அப்படி பார்த்தால் எந்தவித அனுமதியும் பெறாமல் மொத்த படத்தையும் derailed ல் இருந்து சுட்ட இவரை என்ன சொல்வது

Gautham Vasudeva Menon is a gutsy guy. In the weekly column
"love/hate" in "The Hindu", Cinema Plus (Feb 8), he has ripped Vikram-
Lingusamy Bheema to shreds!
The film Gautham loves is Mani Ratnam classic Nayakan, which he says is
his "all time favourite film". And why he hates Bheema, Gautham
explains- "when you see Bheema, you are left wondering what Vikram
saw in the narration and in the first place made him sign a film like this.
The way it was made, it was a rip-off of so many films without a trace of
originality running through it."

The ace director further asks- "When you see a film that has a scene that
reminds you of your own film, you don't know whether they are trying to
emulate you or imitate you… In so many places, it was like
Thalapathy,like Company,like Kaakha Kaakha and the last scene was
straight out of The Departed. More than being a film I hate, it was a film
that completely disappointed me."

Will Vikram and Lingusamy defend their much publicised "classic with
never-seen-before stunning climax" ? ***

Look, how he talked!!! I just checked out derailed plot and realized that what you said it TRUE!

I cant believe this guy has the nerve criticise others when he is worst of all!!!

I think it was Lingusaamy's bheema, Gautam Menon was criticising him very badly as it had nothing original. Now he has come up with "original love story", I suppose! Even the name of hero as "karthik" reminds me of MaNi's alaipaayuthE! If he is such an original thinker, he could not find another name???//

எனக்கும், ARR-goutham கூட்டு haris-goutham கூட்டை விட சிறப்பாக இல்லாததுபோல் தான் தோன்றுகிறது.
பாடல்களை தனியாக கேட்கும் போது அவ்வளவாக எடுபடவில்லை. ஆனால் படத்துடன் பார்க்கும போது, நன்றாக உள்ளது. பாடல்கள் படத்துடன் நன்றாக ஒன்றிவிடுகிறது.
